What exactly is the Playstation 3?
The Playstation 3 is the next generation console from Sony. Is is the successor of the highly popular Playstation 2.
How much will the launch price of the Playstation 3 be?

What about the prices of the games?
The price of games will rarely ever be 50 dollars, but mainly 60 or 65 dollars.
When will the PS3 be released?

Will the PS3 be backward compatible with playing PS2 and/or PS1 games?
The PS3 will be able to play PS2 games, but not PS1 games.
Will the PS2 be able to play PS3 games?
No, the PS2 can not handle the graphics of PS3 games.
Will the PS3 play DVD and/or CD’s?
Yes it will.
Will you be able to burn CD’s or DVD’s?
We are not sure at the moment, but don’t expect the PS3 to.
Will the PS3 have a hard drive?

Can the PS3 record TV like TiVo?
Sony was hoping with rumors that this may become possible, but it won't be.
How many controller ports will the PS3 have?
There will be seven ports for wireless controllers inside the PS3.
Will the PS3 have online capabilities? Will anything be included?
Yes the PS3 will be able to go online and will have a broadband adapter included inside. No dial-up adapter will be included, but they may be for sale later on.
Will the controllers be wireless from the get go or will they be PS2 dual shock controllers?
They will be both.

How do the graphics compare with the Playstation 1 and 2?
The graphics of the PS3 are far superior when compared to its predecessors. We expect the first generation graphics of the PS3 to be better than what Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 were able to accomplish.
I heard there is more than one version of the PS3?
The president of Sony of Europe hinted at there being two versions of the PS3, but he never said there definitely will be.
After e3 2006 in May 2006 it has become definite that the Sony PS3 will have two different versions, varying by an hour, much like the Xbox 360.
