A release of October 2006 is very likely for the Nintendo Wii release date price. It definitely needs to come out before Thanksgiving, which is November 23 in America. The console will not be aiming for a worldwide release, but should be available in the USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and Japan before November is over.
Vgescape Analysis
It seems very likely for the console to come out in October for a few reasons. First off, Super NES and Nintendo 64 were both released in either September or October of their respectful release date years. The Gamecube was the first system to come out in November, and look how that turned out for Nintendo. The Nintendo Wii already has given out development kits, which are going for much cheaper than the other console dev. kits, and Nintendo should have all their launch games finished, including the Gamecube epic, Zelda Twilight Princess.
Finally, Nintendo already knows the Playstation 3 will be released in North America and Japan in mid-November, so coming out a month before with this knowledge just makes sense.
Other important territories for launch are parts of Asia like South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. These areas should also receive the Nintendo Wii before the end of 2007. Nintendo can't afford to launch to these places before March 31, 2007 because they want to ship out 7 million Nintendo Wii's and with a price of 200 dollars or possible less, there is no way that these 'Revolution's' won't be sold out immediately
